Historical-fiction novels are the best of both worlds. An author creates an imaginative story with original/made-up characters but also includes some interesting historical facts and events letting the reader learn about the world's history without much effort! The novel we just finished in class takes place in the late 18th Century in Philadelphia.
If you could go back in time and live during any era/time period/decade etc. besides present time, where and when would you want to live and why? Please give at least three reasons as to why you have chosen this time period as your favorite and explain your opinion in at least three complete sentences. If you accurately follow the directions, you will receive 5 bonus points that will be applied to your Fever 1793 novel test.

I would choos the "80's" because i like the "big hair". Also the "Big Hair Bands" and Ronald Reagan was president who brought down Berlin wall and he worked really hard. Anne Hathoway was born then too.

i would choose 1492 because thats when Christopher Columbus sailed from Spain across the Atlantic ocean. Landing in the "new world" of the americans and gaining lasting flame. He sailed in west for the search of a sea passage to India.-Cody Moser.

If I could go back in time and live, I would live in the time period when Laura Ingalls was a kid. I would like to live then because I like her books and how adventerous she was. I also think it would be cool to ride around on horses and in carriages. A wolrd without pollution and technology.......it would be different. But I wouldnt like not having electric pluming!

I would choose to go back in the past, It would be fun to see what there life was like back then, but then i would like to come back. I also would like to go to the Future to see what there life would be like,and it would be fun to see what i looked like, maybe i could make a change in the world or a new invention. Maybe just to see what the world is like or how u are in the future or what ur life is, so if u dont like it in the future, you can maybe change it NOW!

I would like to go back in 1970-1971. Because thats when my favorite team, the New England Patriots became a member of the NFL. In 1970 they were the Boston Patriots then in 1971 they became New England Patriots. In 1970 the Miami Dolphins played the New England Patriots.

I would go to the year 2005. The year 2005 is the year I went to South Carolina for the first time. It's also when my uncles Matt and Tucker still lived in Fremont. I recently went to South Carolina. It reminded me of the fun I had with my amazing family.:) It is a beautiful place to visit. Another reason I want to go to the year 2005 is because my sister and I actually got along with each other.That is why I want to go to 2005. :)

I would want to live in the 70's because I love how they would dress and because their hair was "amaizing"! I would love to listen to Rock-n-Roll! I would love to live in this time, but I would miss my phione and computer, so I am happy in the era I live in now!

My favorite time perid would be the time of the ancient Egyptians. One reason is because they had cool buildings. Another reason is because they had cool gods. My last reason is they had a king. That is why i would like to live there.

I want to go back to 1908 so I could see the Cubs win the world series. That was the last time the cubs have won so it would be awesome to see them win. It would be weird to see what their equipment is like compared to the equipment now. It would be amazing to meet all the good players on the Cubs back then.
